If you don’t mind, I think I’ll start posting more photos of my Gran Turismo 5 car collection.
Here’s my ‘89 Miata, painted in the ever-popular hue of Mariner Blue. So far it’s completely stock, save for some BBS wheels. I plan on upgrading it bit more in preparation for the Roadster 4-Hour Endurance race - I need that Cosmo prize car!
At the 2011 Shizouka Hobby Show, Tamiya unveiled kit #58493 - the Mazda RX7! Built on their popular rear-wheel drive M06 chassis, the 1/10th scale Tamiya RX7 features fully independent, double-wishbone suspension and oil-filled shocks for realistic handling. The motor & speed control are included, but radio gear and body paint are sold separately. Early versions of the kit will include special metal-plated wheels, so order yours fast!

Retro-spec, out of San Diego, California specializes in carbon fiber and fiberglass parts for 70s, 80s, and 90s Japanese cars. Of particular interest is their carbon fiber radiator panel for ‘86-‘91 RX7s. At only $80, it’s a great way to add some flash to your engine bay. Retro-spec’s website claims it helps your rotary run cooler, too. I intend to put this to the test when I buy my own later this summer. Stay tuned!

This Saturday was the second oil change on my 2011 Mazda2. My friend Matt suggested that we complete the task in his workshop, as he had something to show me. Appropriately, I turned into his driveway just as my odometer ticked over 6,000 miles. While I may not make it to church every Sunday, I’d still say I’m pretty religious…
